Military Family Liaison Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :  

• Creation of a welcoming attitude on the campus. Reports to campus leadership on transitional issues for the military parent and student.
• Advocate and provide program information and support to military families of children with disabilities.
• Works with leadership to identify campus needs in support of military families.
• Responsible for the integration, coordination, and processing of military connected students.
• Oversees all school issues involving military connected students and apply best practices to integrate the military students into the campus.
• Serves as advocate for parents/students and school staff, assists students/parents in locating points of contact in the local community and military community and make referrals as appropriate.
• Maintain resource materials to assist parents/students in understanding the policies and procedures of the District, to include information on local scholarships, hire programs, and other education opportunities.
